Venion is a two-phase world boss that requires adapting your team composition based on the boss's buff state. This guide covers strategies for defeating this boss up to the Extreme League.

Defense System (Error)

(Passive Effect)Takes increased damage from FireFire-, WaterWater-, and EarthEarth-attribute enemies, and enemies always attack with a favorable attribute. All enemies' Speed becomes 0, and they are afflicted with Extra Skill Disabled and Extra Turn Disabled (permanent). After your attack, increases all enemies' Priority by 100% (may be limited to 80% under certain conditions). Damage from Cursed/Fixed Damage cannot exceed 10000/20000 respectively. However, Fixed Damage received from Skill Chains can be up to 50000.

Ignores Resilience and removes all buffs from all enemies, then attacks all enemies. This attack penetrates 30% of the target's Defense, and enemies killed by this skill cannot be Resurrected or Revived. According to the unique effect granted, the following effects will be applied: 【Remove Detection Interference】: Inflicts instant death on FireFire/WaterWater/EarthEarth enemies. 【Exclude Unknown Variables】: Inflicts instant death on LightLight/DarkDark enemies.

Defense System (Overheating)

(Passive Effect)Takes increased damage from LightLight and DarkDark enemies, and enemies always attack with a favorable attribute. Takes increased damage from AoE attacks. All enemies' Speed becomes 0, and they are afflicted with Extra Skill Disabled and Extra Turn Disabled (permanent). After your attack, increases all enemies' Priority by 100%. Damage from Curses/Fixed Damage cannot exceed 10000/20000 respectively. However, Fixed Damage from Skill Chains can be up to 50000. On battle entry, dispels all enemy buffs. At the start of turn, enemies at 30% HP or less have all buffs dispelled and their HP set to 1.

Tips and teams below are written for Extreme League.

Strategy

  • You want your teams to have penetration as much as possible. Venion's defense is high (3500 phase 1 and 5000 phase 2).
  • Having Counterattack SetCounterattack Set set on support is really helpful since they'll activate their respective bonus gain from Venion.
  • Keep an eye on Venion's buff and swap team if needed to avoid instant death or an 80% push since it'll make you lose one turn.
  • Having in your skill chain is okay as long as it results in more total damage.
  • Having multiple HealerHealer in your second team is also a viable option to deal more weakness gauge damage.

Phase 1

  • Phase 1 boss takes increased damage from FireFire, WaterWater, EarthEarth enemies and they always have elemental advantage.
  • If granted , the boss pushes FireFire/WaterWater/EarthEarth enemies' priority by 80%.
  • If granted , the boss pushes LightLight/DarkDark enemies' priority by 80%.

Phase 2

  • Phase 2 boss takes increased damage from LightLight, DarkDark enemies and from AoE attacks.
  • If granted , the boss inflicts instant death on FireFire/WaterWater/EarthEarth enemies.
  • If granted , the boss inflicts instant death on LightLight/DarkDark enemies.
  • At the start of the turn, the boss removes buffs and sets HP to 1 for all enemies with 30% or less HP.
